Grade 7 math practice
A new set whenever you’re ready. Pick a grade and a skill, work it out, then see the thinking behind each answer.
These are selected skills using common US-style grade groupings, not a complete curriculum or placement test. School sequences vary. Choose the level that fits your learner.

Will I get different questions each time?
Yes. Generate a fresh set to get new number combinations. A shared link reproduces the same questions. These use defined mathematical rules, not an AI chatbot.
Can I use equivalent fractions?
Yes. For example, 2/4 and 1/2 are both accepted for one half. Use a fraction for repeating decimals. Enter mixed numbers as 1 1/2.
Are answers or progress saved?
No. Answers stay in this page session and are not sent to a teacher. Refreshing or generating a new set clears your work. Shared links include only the question settings, never answers or learner details.
What will print?
The current questions print as a blank worksheet, with an answer key on a separate page. You can also choose Save as PDF in your print dialog.
Answer key
1. -2
Subtract 14: 9x = -18. Divide by 9: x = -2.
2. 5/4
Subtract numerators, keeping the denominator: (16 − 6)/8 = 5/4.
3. 47.5
Area = ½ × base × height = ½ × 5 × 19 = 47.5 cm².
4. -3
Subtract 1: 3x = -9. Divide by 3: x = -3.
5. 3/4
Subtract numerators, keeping the denominator: (15 − 9)/8 = 3/4.
6. 12
Area = ½ × base × height = ½ × 3 × 8 = 12 cm².
7. 7
Subtract 4: 2x = 14. Divide by 2: x = 7.
8. -5/6
Subtract numerators, keeping the denominator: (5 − 10)/6 = -5/6.
9. 32.5
Area = ½ × base × height = ½ × 5 × 13 = 32.5 cm².
10. -10
Subtract 5: 6x = -60. Divide by 6: x = -10.
